The true work of a news photog is often unseen. From the lighting of a liveshot to sitting at a city council meeting for 2 hours waiting for one agenda item... like I currently am doing. There are dozens of jobs that are unseen but that without there would be no news.
I'll often tell people that my job is 70% driving and I don't think that will change anytime soon. That said I consider myself a "professional" driver. As a "professional" driver you must be able to sit behind the wheel of any vehicle and know instantly how to drive it. Today was no different when Matt and I were given a golf cart to drive around in. I know its not a "real" vehicle but it gets the point across. From our daily driver news trucks, the live truck, all the way to a boat. We just gotta know.how to do it in order to get the job done.
Yes this post is just be a way of time traveling through the city council meeting I'm currently sitting in. Can you really blame me for trying to relive something as fun as a driving a golf cart on a beautiful day?
